co-pilots
Two little girls, both interested in (among many other things) space, planets, stars, comets, and rocket ships... if hearts could sing, mine might be starring on Broadway right about now. :) Credit for the first two (clear, focused) photos is not my own. ;)

imaginary play
Carver has very recently discovered imaginary play. After dinner tonight, she took an empty can of cashews and pretended to pour herself a glass of almond juice (which is almond milk... which has a picture of almonds on the side of the container... which is very similar to the picture on the side of the container of cashews).
Carver has never been sledding before, though... so her imaginary sledding ride in the living room meant sitting in an upright sled. ;)

take my picture
While we were in the middle of making peanut butter / banana / Greek yogurt smoothies this morning, Carver asked me to take her picture. I dropped everything, did a quick wipe of my hands, and grabbed the camera. ;)Then, Carver did exactly the same... dropped everything, did a (not at all effective) wipe of her hands, and grabbed her camera. I haven't had any success in getting the photos to show up on my laptop... but as soon as we can access them, we may have even more photos to share. :)

salt dough
We spent the entire morning creating with salt dough. We tried a new (non-cook) recipe, but it wasn't nearly as easy to work with as the cooked recipe. So we tossed that and made a fresh batch with our old recipe. We tried out lots of new cookie cutter shapes, and we even fashioned a salt dough solar system that's still drying in the oven (3 hours later). The weather tomorrow looks perfect for staying in and attempting a painting session with our baked goodies.

Macamoni, Mommy!
Oh that silly Yankee Doodle! :) I'm really sad I didn't catch a video of Carver's beat-poet version just before bed tonight.
On a related note, Carver is enjoying all different kinds of nursery rhymes and poetry these days. Fun stuff.

Hey!
Oh. My! Carver was in rare form today. Hey! Hey! Hey! It's the first time I've ever wanted to remove a word from her vocabulary. ;) So, of course, I recorded a bit of her Hey!Hey!Hey! 'ing for the sake of posterity.
